Elijah was an Old Testament prophet in whom the bible says was an ordinary man (James 5:17). Yes, Elijah was an ordinary man who did extra ordinary things for God. The scriptures teach that Elijah earnestly prayed that it would not rain for several years (1 Kings 17:1). After several years of drought, Elijah prayed (1 Kings 18:1) for God to open up the Heavens to lavish the earth with abundant rain.
An abundance of God’s blessings is what many believers will experience as they faithfully walk with God. Luke 6:38 describes this blessing as a good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over. One of the keys to unleashing the blessings of God upon your life is to believe that God is all-powerful and is more than able to turn any situation around.
Are you facing sickness today, believe God can heal and turn your health around. Please hear me; I am not advocating that you discard the use of medicine. No, that’s not what I’m saying at all. What I am saying, is your faith to believe God can turn any situation around will prompt you to act with absolute confidence that God will do what He has promised…Psalms 103:3 “Who forgives all your iniquities; who heals all your diseases.”
Faith the size of a mustard seed can and will get God’s attention on your behave. Believe today and receive an abundance of blessings so overflowing you will not have room to store it.
Prayer for today:
Father thank you for the many blessing you have bestowed upon us. Some blessings are seen yet many go unseen for God is working in the background. We thank and honor you for all you do for us. God, help us to believe your words which carries with it the power to bless and heal at a moments notice.
Father all you have to do is speak the word and it is done. Move our hearts to seek and walk in your will for our lives. Increase our faith to not only give, but to receive as well. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.
