This word was birthed as I read and meditated on the Facebook post of a friend who was having a rather rough day. I realized that in our trials and moments in which we are not at our best, empathy/compassion is best served void of judgment. We tend to (me included) cast judgment on the act and not the possible circumstances surrounding the act.
Strive to follow Jesus’ lead in Matthew 9:13 “But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.” God thank you for the lesson.
