Thought for the day

Dr__Martin_Luther_King_Jr_2“We must develop and maintain the capacity to forgive. He who is devoid of the power to forgive is devoid of the power to love. There is some good in the worst of us and some evil in the best of us. When we discover this, we are less prone to hate our enemies.” – Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

  1. This is a great quote! I have not mastered the art of forgiveness. Actually it is easier for me to forgive strangers or co-workers than family. I have family members I have not spoken to in years however that situation is not going to change they are ex-cons, drug addicts, thieves, and not people I want to be around. They are sociopaths and as we all know sociopaths/psychopaths can never change they are hardwired to hurt other human beings and animals because they lack the capacity for empathy.

Sometimes you have to forgive from afar especially if that person/persons have threatened your life.
