Can We Talk Wednesday?

QUESTION: Many have debated what Jesus wrote in the sand as the religious leaders questioned him regarding the woman caught in adultery. What do you think Jesus wrote in the sand?

  • John 8:5-6 In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such a woman. So what do You say?” They said this to test Him, in order to have a basis for accusing Him. But Jesus bent down and began to write on the ground with His finger.

MY ANSWER: Are you ready for my revelation? Here it is; I honestly don’t have a clue and I suspect if Jesus wanted us to know the answer the answer would have been recorded in the bible. That’s my 2 cents and I’m sticking with it. What do you think?

The purpose of “Can we talk Wednesday” is to encourage healthy discussions about a range of topics. I ask that we respect the opinions of others by honoring your brother or sister in Christ with the fruits of the spirit as taught in Galatians 5:22-23. Now, “Can we talk Wednesday?”

  1. He was probably writing the name of the man most likely a prominent religious leader of that day in the sand. After all it takes two to tango. Why was only the woman brought up on charges. However the double-standard against women still exists in our modern day society.

    • You’re right Deborah! There still is a double standard for women. My prayer is for the walls of in justice to be exposed so that healing and repentance will reign. In this case it was never about what was right or the law, it was about the religious leaders of the day plotting to condemn Jesus by his words and viewpoint. Even though they were in clear violations of the law. Say tuned for this Wednesday’s segment of “Can we talk Wednesday.”
