      The call of God is usually too big to be accomplished within the realms of “I” pertains to our God who is a Ephesians 3:20 God which says, “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.” Many of the examples in the bible as it relates to individuals being called by God are usually callings that are beyond that individual’s natural abilities and talents. Even Jesus relied on the Twelve to carry the mantle of Matthew 28 and His earthly ministry. I say all this to simply say, God is a big God who calls us to do His will which is usual beyond the scope of our abilities.

      The following scriptures provide more insight into this as well:

      1. Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” The emphasis being on Christ not self.

      2. Psalms 12:1 “Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain.” The emphasis being on the Lord

      3. 2 Corinthians 1:8-12 We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters,[a] about the troubles we experienced in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired of life itself. 9 Indeed, we felt we had received the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead. 10 He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us again. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, 11 as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many.

      The call God placed on Paul’s life was huge and required help from fellow disciples regarding the planting and leading of churches all over the known world not to mention the care Paul needed while in prison.
