“Today be intentional with outreach. Remember, you have what people need and want. So, do not let fear keep you from displaying the heart and grace of Jesus Christ.” – Pastor Lionel
To God be the glory, amen
There is something about having been in the presence of Jesus that will make folks stand up and take notice. The power and boldness the Sanhedrin saw as Peter and John proclaimed the name of Jesus is in direct proportion to the promise of Luke 12:11-12.
Jesus said in Luke 12:11-12, “When they bring you before the synagogues and the rulers and the authorities, do not worry about how or what you are to speak in your defense, or what you are to say; 12for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.”
Jesus knew beforehand that the apostles would face persecution for his name. However, Jesus would not leave the apostles defenseless. The power of the Holy Spirit made unschooled average men super naturally powerfully in wisdom, boldness and passion.
When your life is radically transformed by the power of Jesus, you can’t help but change! The beauty of it all is that same Holy Spirit that enabled the apostles to speak boldly before the Sanhedrin, lives in all believers today!
The Apostle Paul wrote of that same spirit in 2 Timothy 1:7-8 For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.8Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord or of me His prisoner, but join with me in suffering for the gospel according to the power of God,…
We as believers in Christ are to fully take hold of the Holy Spirit’s power to live a life of passion, power, love and discipline for Jesus is coming back (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17) for the ones who have called on and believed in His mighty name.
So, as you embark upon your day, live in the power of the Holy Spirit that is living in you this very moment! Jesus is the answer to a life of power, peace and ever lasting grace. Live life boldly so the world will take note that you have been with Jesus! To God be the glory, amen!
